Floor Jack Check Valve Repair

Has anyone ever repaired a floor jack which appears to have a bad check valve? Piston extends slightly when jacking, but then returns under spring load when jack handle is returned. Would valve be directly under handle piston, or would it be in a separate access port. Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Floor Jack Check Valve Repair

Replacing it is pretty easy, finding a replacement is probably going to be the hard part.

Re: Floor Jack Check Valve Repair

Thanks for the comments. In this model, there's a cast-in port with an access plug. I'm presuming I'll find a spring & ball somewhere inside. If the ball isn't obviously damaged, then I'm not sure what would be next. Maybe the seat will screw out. Thanks.
