body work

the time has finally come to put my foot down and get some body work done. i don't know if many of you remember that monstrosity of a homemade spoiler that came on my car:



well i took it off and had a swiss cheese trunk, which i don't have a picture of because it was so embarrassing.. but yesterday i took my car to my buddy at one of the local nissan dealerships and we worked on my hatch..

this was the final product:






i also bought what seem to be the last 2 rocker panels available in canada.. they're going on as we speak and should be complete by next weekend.



you can see 2 holes in my current rockers. that was the passenger side. the driver's side is 10X worse. i had a hole going from just below the door right through the floor.



i'll post more pics when i go check it out.

by the way, this is the same guy who did mats baribeau's candy red 240. i'm sure you guys have seen his car in pics before.. he's part of out local club (and i used to play hockey against him)

we didn't HAVE to but i thought it might look stupid just painting over the spoiler holes and brake light space.. there were a few scratches in the middle of the hatch and a little bit of rust bubbles on the bottom left corner.. so we just did the whole thing. its not gonna rust again.

when i looked at the first pic i thought you were gonna tell us the body work you did was putting that spoiler on but the hatch looks good, and im glad you took that homemade whatever you wanna call it off lol. anyways its lookin great... post pics when everythings painted

Rear wipers are for pansies! lol I took that bitch off when I took my spoiler off. I rememebr that red car, I totally blasted it cause he's just a rich kid and couldn't find a good offset if it kicked him in the ass, but after seeing those new Works he got on SON, OMG, those are sick! I take it all back...well he's still a punk rich kid, lol. Anyways, I got some work to do on my car, my driver frame rail has a hoel in it...:-( But looks good, man, good luck with the rockers.

I'm in the process of doing the same work with the hatch on my car. I've cut out the rusty areas and am welding new metal into place. Afterwards I will sand down the entire rear deck also. All of this is being done by me at home. I have a hard time letting anyone else help me work on my car. Your's in looking real good I might add. I really like the clear rear blinkers.

looks good d-bo. Body work....nothing but fun lol. Yea it was best to work the hatch as a whole unit anyways. Its such a small part to work on so you might as well have. Just wait till those rockers and hatch are painted.....then your gonna want the rest of the car painted lol. Looking good.

the frame rails and undercarriage are flawless except for right underneath the driver's seat, which is being fixed along with the rockers.

and jon, i actually like the rear wiper. there's nothing worse than having shit all over my windshields.

i'm gonna try to go in and take a look at what he's doing on the car sometime this week. apparently its supposed to be done by friday. i'll post pics when i take them.

i've got more pics of my body work.. its now finished. brand spankin new rocker panels and a new floor underneath the driver's seat. the car looks amazing. i'll post the pics when i find my camera cable to upload the pics!
