NO TIME WASTERS AS I EXPERIENCED WITH THE ORANGE LM!!!
As I use of my spare time to give you this deal don't bother to contact if you don't have the intention to buy!

Thorst, you have great communication skills.

Anyway, I prefer the orange like most so will wait for one of them to come around at some point.

Re: 1:12 Black LM One and only chance!

Does anyone know if this White one is a genuine sale or a scam as I have heard a few 1:12 scale mclarens on ebay are not kosher?

They have a website that looks legit, but I have no firsthand knowledge.

the white LM looks so good. I would consider buying it if it was a GTR or converted F1

Interesting. He also has specialcrafters.com registered and he appears to be based in Hong Kong. Those 1/43 McLarens on his site have been turning up on Ebay and are supposedly built in China. I believe that the 1/12 scale resins are from an outfit named Model Workshop.

Re: 1:12 Black LM One and only chance!

The 1/43s have been coming up a lot on ebay. Unfortunately, the wheels are wrong. And most of the pics of those models depict poor quality assembly and paint. Some ebay listers have shown decent quality. There are several with poor quality. Caveat emptor. If you're not picky about these, and just want a Marlboro car (seeing as how the minichamps and BBR models tend to go for a higher sum) it might not to bad. Unfortunately, I am very picky about the shape of the wheels.

The larger 1/12s look to be the same as what Thorst had offered... but at a much much higher price. Those that wanted one and didn't jump on Thorsts offerings... good luck.

They are indeed the same ones. Contacted specialcrafters last night and got an almost immediate response. No word on any additional colors or race liveries, the black one is available from stock, the white one is a pre-order.

There was a guy with a bunch of listings for the orange one that were scams and there have been some China-based sellers of the Minichamps 1/12 that were also scammers.

I suppose Ebay is always a bit of a gamble innit? This current auction doesn't appear to have any connection to the seller who was auctioning models that he did not have.
