Exclamation big problem

while taking off the clutch slave cylinder the tube between the 2 nuts snapped off i was wondering before i messed it up any farther if it was possible to take of the bottom nut on the steel braided line and put in a new fitting that will go from the brake line to the slave cylinder

so all i do is cut the tube below the braided line and connect the steel parts together with a fitting?
