basics don't have a ride height adjustment via the shock body mounting point though right? jics and more expensive teins have ride height adjustment that still allows full use of the suspension travel which is very important on 240s since they don't have a lot of travel to begin with.

Either way, it's up to you. I'm sure even a good shock/spring combo would be alright depending on how hard you drive, but if you've got the money then suspension is a part you don't want to upgrade on the cheap.

no, just the wrenches i think. but still, youre paying alot less for the basics... and its not like its all that hard to adjust coil ride height via wrench. just my opinion

hey everyone all the info was great... the 240 i was gonna get, i waited to long on and it sold, but not a big deal. i tried doing as much research as i could but at the end i ended up finacing a RSX type S. lol sorry didnt end up wit a nissan but i wanted to get into autoX and the type S is the shyt. if imma try drifting just for fun i'll just get a cheap one and fix lil things and take it somewhere i can try it but wut i really wanted was autoX. and i think this car is gonna be great. thanx everyone for there help you guys are awesome. but hey wish me luck with the type S and lets see how it goes...
