Re: Avg. MPG trip computer?
this is a guess from way off in left field, no wait the parking lot. Assuming you have say an 03 or earlier AND you have the low tire pressure monitor. You may want to make sure that you inflate your tires to the right pressure, also make sure they and the wheels are the stock size. Then reset the low pressure monitor. I think all the speedometer / trip guages run off of your wheel sensors. could be wrong, just a guess.

Re: Avg. MPG trip computer?
Thats not it, i check my tire pressure often. It's an 04 with the tire presure mont. It's just bugging me, say i drive all highway and when i fill it back up i find out i get 33mpg by dividing the miles by how many gallons it took to fill it back up. But if i use the computer it says, 37mpg which i know is wrong. I also watch the avg mpg and i see that when i'm coasting it gets great mpg and when i wot is goes way down fast. But i can sit in one spot and idle for ten minutes and that never changes the mpg? well it's funny to see people reactions when they think i get 37mpg

Re: Avg. MPG trip computer?
I run the 3.8 and i'm sure i get 33 on the highway-maybe only one stop the whole time, i seem to get 24 in town but i don't live in the city. anyways back to the question at hand when i reset everything and after driving on the highway for awhile the computer will say 35-36-37-even38 mpg avg not instant i know the difference i can get my instant up to 99mpg. Why doesn't the avg. mpg go down when my car is just idleing? And can it be adjusted?
