Wink 2004 Grand Prix GTP starting problems

This only happens occasionally - Have a problem sometimes when i go to start the car, it will sound like it is starting but it doesn't turn over. I usually hit the gas while turning the key and then it starts. Any ideas?

Re: Grand Prix starting problems

Although the data is in your profile in limited form, it would be helpful to list the year, model, engine size and mileage in the post.

Re: 2004 Grand Prix GTP starting problems

you may want to clean the injectors(try GM fuel addictive), check the spark plugs and wires first little things like that... If it is cold in your area, it is NORMAL... the reason is the PCM is in cold start mode which is where the car is pretty much choked, as it warms up the PCM goes out of this mode... I will say that it is very important to let your car warm up before driving off...

if I was guessing I would say it is the injectors needing cleaned or a really cold environment...
