Shell Rotella facts
http://www.shell.com/static//ca-en/d...s/handbook.pdf
I'm going to try the syn. 0-40 rotella sb. It is sold at our local Canadian Tire store. They don't stock the 5w-40 It is not rated for SH but it is for everything else. Winter is comming and 15-40 is too thick. If anybody knows of any reason why I shouldn't buy this please write. John |

Re: Shell Rotella facts
I ran Shell RT 5w-40 in my rodeo. It actually has better cold cranking properties than some 5w-30's! I wouldn't sweat it for cold use at all. I use it in all my outdoor power equip, snow blower included. She pull starts in 1-2 pulls every time (prolly just jinxed myself).

Re: Shell Rotella facts
Used it in my Rodeo 2 winters ago, the 5w-40, had no issues.

Re: Shell Rotella facts
I went to walmart to find if they had the 5w-40 and I found this instead http://www.esso.ca/Canada-English/Fi...Xd-3_extra.pdf
I think this is Mobile 1 deisel oil. They only have 0w-40 syn. It is SH approved and 6 dollars cheaper for 4 litres than Rottella. John |
