Power window switch problems
Hi All,
I recently purchased a used power window switch to replace mine, which was causing problems with window operation. My window problems are gone but now my power door locks won't work. Should I return the part?? When I press the door lock button I can hear and feel the relays in the switch but the door locks do not operate. Would it be advisable to switch my old relays into the new switch??Any help appreciated. 1999 Rodeo 3.2L 4WD 100300 miles |

Re: Power window switch problems
Thanks for the reply; I discovered the door lock fuse needed replacing and now everything works fine!
Wow, a simple enough fix to a problem (buying a new switch) but I sure spent a lot of time waiting for eBay auctions and shipping. Next time I experience any power window/lock symptoms I will get a new part ASAP. I also wasted half a day driving around to several junkyards looking for parts. It seems they only have later models, say before '97, and very few Rodeo/Passports. I guess that's good news. |
