WTF do you mean by evolution? He has a 4th gen LS1 car... as seen in his sig.

definately doesnt need drag radials... he's stock, getting bigger/stickier tires would just be a bandaid for a poor suspension setup.

If you are hopping, you need suspension not tires.

Reaction doesn't mean anything on a test session.
thank you.

Re: I went to the track

BTW a good general rule of thumb is .1 off your 60' = about .2 off your 1/4 ET

he said he's spinning, not wheel hopping, but what do I know, apparently I know nothing about drag racing.

Re: I went to the track

I can make mine hop if I want.
Or spin.

Just depends on the pinion angle of the torque arm.

But yeah, a stock suspension will either spin or hop. Depends on how sticky the track is really.

It did feel like it hopped a lil. The wheels were spinning as well. There is a 1000 ft or 1/8 mile track close to me, I can go there to get use to the tree...

Tree is easy.

It just takes practice Jeremy.

There was this one LS-1, the maroon one that was doing like 13.54. Not sure on the mods.

a dead stock LS1 f-body will do mid-high 13's in the 1/4.

Or low-mid 13's with the driver mod.

i know the clock dont start till the beams are broken but with bracket racing it still means something, we run a 7.50 index, a guy in our class runs a 69 corvette funny car, last race he ran a 7.50 on the nose and lost to a 7.53, because HE GOT TREED, a race can still be won or lost on reaction time, if you have been dragracing for some time and still cannot cut a good light, you need more practice, it just takes time, ive ran on both a full and pro tree, full tree i leave just as the 3rd light goes, on a pro tree, i leave when i see the first bulb
