Seriously though, where are you that your ambulance needs beach capabilities? You guys volunteer or employed? Did the state or local pay for that thing or did you guys have to do a drive for it?

The ambulance district is paid, I am only part time. The fire department is vol. 26 thousand dollars is being paid through some grant from the gov. and the rest is being paid through the budget for WLAD or Western Lane Ambulance District. I live on the Oregon coast and we are know for our dunes and beaches. Most of the accident are on the sand dunes where people go over oh shits or razor backs. A 15 to 20 ft. drop is a big oh shit when you hit head first. The older rig is a late 80 blazer s10, I will get pics. Its gutless and has been tore up by some of the fine people that work there. "sarcasm."
