86 t/a radio/heater control housing???

Does anyone know how hard it is to remove the center housing that the radio and heater controls mount in? Mine has a few broken mounts on it and I'd like to replace it.

Moutns as in where it screws into? If so, you can get clips for a repair.

That 20-year old plastic can get brittle.

You can try clips, but you might want to try to reassemble the crumbled plastic pieces as best you can and either plastic weld (hot air) or otherwise heat/fuse them together, then install the necessary hardware. I had one Fiero that had similar failure of a lot of the interior plastic supports and trims, and used "T" nuts bonded in from behind to creat good machine screw threads to mount the I/P, radio, HVAC, and console.
