Stock size of idler pulley for SC belt

Does anyone know off hand what the diameter is? The bearings have recently seized up. When I replaced it in the AZ parking lot, it instantly got smoked. I brought what's left of it home and it's 1.03" wide on a 3.63" OD. Problem is that when I threaded the monster button head screw in, the ribs on the back-side of the pulley came in contact with the circumference of the aluminum behind it.

Thanks, Ted.

Re: Stock size of idler pulley for SC belt

Sounds like you got the wrong size and type idler pulley. Typical AZ.

The stock idler pulley is 76.2 millimeters = 3.00 inches. Is your SC drive belt system stock?

The max size I have ever seen is 3.5" and thats with a smaller SC pulley size for belt size compensation.

Re: Stock size of idler pulley for SC belt

Ah, I figured as much. SC system is stock, mods will come with time. Good thing I saved whats left of the last one. Primo opportunity to have one of the shop guys machine me an aluminum one since I have this brand new bearing sitting around.

Thanks for the speedy reply.
