Re: overhaul

Depending on what kind of engine you want to have installed, it can cost $1500-7000. A new (crate engine) will be more expensive than a used engine, however a used engine may need rebuilding. www.the fierofactory.com , located near Huntsville Alabama has used Fiero engines and also does installation of 4.9 Cadillac engines into Fieros. You can use a 3.4L (90s Camaro engines) is nearly a direct replacement for the 2.8L Fiero V6

www.v8archie.com near Rockford IL installs V8 engines into Fieros. LT-1 or ZZ4 crate engines are his specialty.

Be wary of those shop/mechanics who don't have the experience with Fiero engine swaps as you get for what you pay for will be very true.

West Coast Fieros in California also does work on Fieros, but I have no personal experience with them.
