72 Purchase

Question for the group about the possible purchase of a 72 Nova, 2 dr, 6 cyl., unknown miles, told by the relative that owns it that the body is straight, interior will need to be reworked.
I'm going to look at it in the morning. What does everyone think the going rate for this car would be?
The car will be for my 16 yr old son, we will work on it together as time and money permits.

Is there a web site that gives the breakdown of what came with/on vehicles as standard and options?

Thanks to all that respond in advance

Rod

Re: 72 Purchase

nada.com(but the prices are a little high for me)...i think for your car was 3000$ for a low quality...but if its family and it runs....tell em you got a 1000$ cash...then if they want more then you'll be better off and they would think you don't have that much money..........what if you offered 3000 and they were like ummmm....nah....thinking if you have 3000 to spend...then you have 3700 to spend...it happens....even in my family...i offered 800 for my 1973 nova 350 4 door with 49000 org. miles and got it for a 1000...so you gotta kinda haggle with em.....
