Windshield Fluid Dispenser Lights : BUSTED~!

just got myself a ticket in NY for having blue windshield fluid dispenser lights. i have to get them off by tomorrow at sundown or else i'm paying for it. thing is, i didnt install them myself, bought the car with them on. i dont even know what the 'official' name for these things are let alone how to get them off, doesnt seem like a screwdriver will do it and thats about all i can manage. can anyone give me some direction here or at least tell me what they are reffered to as so i can dig up some info?

Pop the hood. You have to take them off from the back I believe. Shouldn't be more than a couple wores and a screw holding each one on.

Do you have to go by the station and show them that you took em off or something? I doubt anything will happen to you if they're not off by sundown... this aint the wild wild west
