transmission fluid check?

ok, i got my cavy for about $500 from a guy whos daughter rolled it in a ditch, looks alot better now, racin spoiler, blue interior, pearl blue paint job, racing exhaust..anywayz, i've noticed cavalier's are complicated, especially changing oil, then i noticed that there is apparently nowhere to check the trans fluid? no dipstick, only a red cap where u can pour it in. can someone help me out? thanks.

Re: transmission fluid check?

Cavaliers are very simple once you get to know them, like any car.

Give me some info, what year and engine is the car. There is a tranny fluid dipstick, depends what year and engine it is, help me so i can help you.. Thnx and welcome!

Re: transmission fluid check?

K well it is in the back of the engine bay, closest to the firewall. It is a little red ring sticking out to the right of ur throttle body. Pull the ring up and wha-la! Dipstick!
