any one know about jdm vrs us trannys?

Ok i posted a while back about the jdm 6 speed tranny and someone said somthing about the rear end on the first gen (5spd) working fine with the jdm 6 spd.. now i am wondering does the jdm 5spd work with the us 5spd rear end? this sounds like such a newbie question.. sorry.. but if anyone has herd anything or knows anything please let me know thanks..

The JDM 5 speed trans is identical to the USDM one.

THe JDM 6 speed has a different front ring and pinnion in the differential and is used with the USDM rear diff.

A few "bolt on" mods, a couple "cut, smash, hammer, weld, etc" mods, and a couple "why the hell do I need this/what the hell is this" weight reductions.
