92 Subaru, Starter is Good, But Flex Plate Spins freely. ???
1992 Subaru Legacy non turbo, 4 spd. Auto. Starter is good. Flex plate spins as if only attached to torque converter. Can turn flex plate by hand. Does not turn Crank Shaft. Please if you know anything about this, answer back. Thank You
The Harmonic Balancer does not spin freely, but rotates the engine. The Flex Plate spins with very little resistance.

Sounds like the fkywheel is cracked around the bolts.. Does the car move?? If not you are looking a flexplate atleast. Also , you should have the trans and the converter checked also...
