Horn Goes Off on My 88 VW Jetta GLI
hi there, i'm having issues with my horn randomly going off while I'm driving. have you ever heard of this before, is it just the fuse needing replacing or is it electrical? I have removed the fuse, which looks fine, for now, but feel very uncomfortable not having a horn. Thanks for your help.

Re: Horn Goes Off on My 88 VW Jetta GLI
Same thing happened to my '89 GLI. If you take off the horn plate you might notice that the spray foam is disintegrating. If you leave the plate off you can honk by pressing the wire onto the plate...it's ugly but it works..

You can by foam (used for insulating around windows) with adhesive backing from a hardware store and get a more attractive fix.
