transmission mount 99 park ave.

someone please tell me how to remove the front transmission mount on a 99 buick park ave., the nut on the bottom will not come off, the entire thing turns when i try to remove it, when i hold the nut on top the nut on the bottom will not come off. what can i do?

Are you sure you are holding the right nut; or could it be the left nut, or even someone else’s nut? (Just some pun, no offense intended)! If you are really holding the “right nut” and it does not come off, it could be stripped threads on either the nut, or bolt. You may have to use the torch!
