What axle to buy?

My friend has a 1994 Z28 Auto Camaro and has a bent axle (from what I can tell from driving it). Same symtoms as my stang when I bent one of its axles. What axles (part # would be GREAT) are a direct fit for the stock rear end. I searched a bit and havent gotten a clean answer.
For the stang the V8 and V6 axles SHAFTS are interchangable, just not the carrier and pinion. Was able to buy used GT axles shafts and just swap it out. It this true for the Camaros aswell?
Thanks

Re: What axle to buy?

Is it the axle shaft that is bent, or is the axle housing distorted? (Makes a difference.) By your description, it sounds like a shaft. There should be plenty of axles available, unless this is a ZT axle assembly (I'm not sure when those stopped). It's hard to miss with Moser axles.

She (the owner) had to replace the wheel because it was bent pretty badly. The rear quarter panel is all messed up to, she is was from a truck side swiper her pretty hard. The noise and pulsating started right after it happened. When I accelerate its normal and smooth, though you can hear the disc touching the pad on each rotation of the wheel. Its VERY pronounced when braking hard, feels like the caliper might break right off. Is there a difference between auto and manual tranny rear axles? That would be wierd but I have NO knowledge (yet ) of Camaros (except they are pretty much ALL faster then my V6 stang) hehe
I'm guessing also they are a regular C-Clip settup, remove brakes, caliper bracket, rotor, rear diff cover (let fluid drain), take out the pinion shaft in the third member, push axles inward to remove C-clips, pull axles out and install reverse from that. ? Check bearings while at it. Thanks
