Whistling Noise
Hey i was looking at the whistling noise thread and i remember a whistling noise when i accelarated. but the thing is, it only does so when i have the a/c on. but when i dont have the a/c on it doesnt do it at all. i dont know if this is the whistling noise someone was talking about.

Re: Whistling Noise
There is a TSB on Impala and Monte Carlo whistling noise on light acceleration caused by casting porosity of the throttlebody. The correction calls for replacement of throttlebody and gasket.

Re: Whistling Noise
i was one of a couple of people that questioned about the noise. It comes and goes regardless of the a/c. Under normal acceleration it feels like I am pulling a dump truck and then all the sudden it takes off, all the while making that god awful noise. But on a good day it will only make it for a while and drive like new. The check engine light is still on and I will post the results of the test tomorrow. Last time I had it checked it came back with a faulty EGR. Replaced it and reset the code. One guy mentioned something about a lower intake manifold gasket. I don't know???, but its about to meet the bottom of a tall bridge the hard way!

Re: Whistling Noise
The code came back as P0404 again...I think I may have come up with a possible source of the noise.
