Re: RX-8 VS a Bike.

I'd consider it a kill, but the guy more or less probably didn't wanna endanger his girlfriend through the turn. Sounds like an interesting night nonetheless.

Re: RX-8 VS a Bike.

It was probably a 1000cc (1 liter) bike. They don't have a lot of torque like the RX-8 does, because their engine is so small. So I can believe that he beat him to about 90mph, anything above that and the bike probably would have started inching on him.

My friend raced a GSXR750 from a stop in his deisel truck and STOMPED him up to 120mph because he had soooo much torque. I bet the guy on the bike felt hella stupid.

Re: RX-8 VS a Bike.

Most 1000cc sport bikes run 11 second 1/4's with a good rider. A CBR1000rr, R1, GSX-R1000, etc would have NO problem with a RX-8.

Nah man, think about it. Their engine is so small, they have almost NO torque.
The RX-8 has gobs of torque ON DEMAND (N/A, all he has to to is stomp the gas and instant toruqe. Not like that turbocharger shit that takes ages to get torque) so he just rockets past the bike. The only advantage the bike has is weight, which really is not that important and the RX-8 does not weight much more than the bike anyways.

Trust me dude, I'm an engineer at Caltech. I know what I'm talking about. I've spent 3 years researching this topic. What do you do? Oh yeah, get dummy retarded with ecstasy...

Re: RX-8 VS a Bike.

You guys were sitting a red light, in the left turn lanes... you took off and got up to 50mph before you made the turn?

Is it me, or does that sound oddly weird... or is this a huge intersection?

I'm not following you.

I typed it wrong, when I got out of the corner I was going 50+ and it gave me room to add some more lengths by the time I reached 90.

And yeah had the race kept going he wouldve got me by 110.
