2003 Impala LS Heated Seat

My 03 impala LS passenger seat does not heat up anymore. The driver seat works fine, but the passenger seat doesnt heat up at all. I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem before with theirs or knows something about it. I'm gonna need it to work since winter is on its way. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: 2003 Impala LS Heated Seat

That happened to my driver side seat last winter... I was told to check the fuse, switch, and the wiring and relay under the seat... All of that stuff proved to be OK... It was the heating element inside the seat itself that crapped out... I took it to the dealer and they had to take apart the whole seat and install a new heater element (I thought it would have been easier to just change out the whole seat)... Fortunately for me it was covered under my extended protection plan...

Thanks man, what kind of problem is it considered, because I'm not sure if it's covered under warranty. I have the Penn Unlimited Mileage Warranty.

I don't know... I bought the GM Major Guard protection plan with a $0 deductible... It was covered... I'm not familar with the plan you bought... If you have a book for your plan, read it... Or give them a call...

I didn't pay my car only had 15,000 miles on it. They probley want like 700-1500 to do it. I can see the leather seat cover with the heating element costing alot.
