Re: clutch adjustment

This isn't a hard job, but getting under the dash and working w/ the clutch adjustment screw and 'clevis pin' are a pain in the ass.

Anyhow:

1) There's a pin that holds the clutch pedal to the arm of the master cylinder. You have to remove the cotter pin and then take out the (what the service manual calls) clevis pin.

2) There is a (10 mm I think) nut on the end of the arm that attaches to the clutch pedal. You have to loosen it just a bit (it locks the bracket that the clevis pin goes through).

3) Now you have to 'screw' or 'unscrew' that bracket that the 'clevis pin' held to the clutch pedal. 'Tightening' it moves clutch engagement lower and 'loosening' it moves clutch engagement higher. (IIRC, hopefully I'm right lol).

4) Once you have that bracket where you think you want it, tighten the locking nut, put back in the clevis pin and try it out. It may take a couple of times (the real PITA part).

Hopefully this helps. I'll try to find the pages in the manual that deal with adjusting the clutch pedal and post screen shots.

Hopefully this helps!
