Re: X- type...S type?

The X Type is all-wheel-drive with a 5 speed automatic, 3 liter engine, and 229hp on tap. It has slightly less rear seat room than the S, but, also has a larger trunk.

The S Types is a rear drive sedan with a 6 speed tranny. Its base engine is a 3.0 236 HP engine. It offers two optional V8s as well. Both are 4.2 liter engines. They are rated at 300hp and 400hp(supercharged R version).

The X is a bit faster than the base S, but, not the V8 models. All models of the S type are substantially more expensive than the X.

Suggest you look at Jaguar USA website if interested in further deatils and pricing.
