I f-ing HATE donkeys

I play online poker...ALOT. And nothing irritates me more than stupid people who are making ridiculous calls against all odds and, of course, hit their hail mary for $100. I took a few weeks off of poker after a string of bad beats. After a few weeks, I hoped back on the horse a day or 2 ago. Things were going great. Had somebody front me so I didn't have to deposit a dime, within a few hours I had made 6x that, had paid the guy back adn was up $280. Sweet. No.

I play a hand, flop trip 8s with an A kicker. A few overcards come, nothing to concern me, no obvious straights and no flush possibilities. I keep raising and getting reraised, so I put this idiot allin on the turn. He calls with pocket 10s. Now mind you, there are 2 8s, a J, and a K showing. If I had had an 8, j, or K, (which I did) he would be drawing to only 2 outs. That is 5%. Jackass hits his 10 for a fullhouse. I sit there and realize, not only did his outs suck, but the only thing he could have beaten would have been a pure bluff. This idiot just loved his pocket 10s and never even considered the fact that in all probability he was drastically behind. So yeah, bye bye $100.

Fast forward another idiot calls my 4x big blind preflop raise with 59suited. I had KA, hit my A, see 2 hearts on the flop, raise high enough to cancel his odds of chasing a potential flush. He calls. Turn misses hte flush, so I put him all in, which is more than there is in the pot, he not only calls and hits his flush, but then tries to argue with me that he had the odds. LMFAO and wanting to stab him in the eye with a ballpoint all at the same time.

Now, for the next 24 hours I fluxuate all over. Had some normal wins loses, and one idiot who chased a gut shot straight draw and hit on the river knocks me back down...AGAIN.

So now I've gone from $280 to like $60. I decide I'm gonna build it back up again. So after 5 hours I finally get my stack up to ~$150. I'm on a rush, I've literally gotten JJ, AK, JJ the last 3 hands, very little profit on them, but still profit. I get 97 hearts in teh big blind. I call a tiny raise, 3 people to the flop. A 5 3 hearts. I flopped the flush. I bet the pot...both idiots call. Sweet, pot is now $45 and the turn isn't a heart. I know my flush is probably in jeopardy if a 4th heart comes on the board, so I bet the pot again...$45, one guy folds, otehr guy thinks about it for awhile, and reraises me for his last $15. I knew I had him, so I call without hesitation. He turns over KK, one is a heart, and the river is of course a heart. He takes down a $170 pot and take right down to almost broke again.

I'm pissed so I complain. I mean there was an Ace on teh flop, right there he is beat, I'm raising the entire pot, showing I don't want to be outdrawn. I could ahve trips, I could have an A, I could ahve the flush, any freaking way, he's drawing almost dead. At the very very very best for him, I have a pair of Aces, and nobody else has a single heart. That way he's drawing to 11 outs, 1 in 4 odds. And that is at best. In reality he is only drawing to 7 outs, so 1 in 7 odds, and he makes a call barely getting 2 to 1 on his money. He starts spouting the typical crap "well I won didn't I" "I had a feeling" "chill out helmuth"

Now I don't go around proclaiming I'm the best player in the world, or anything like that. I don't have a problem getting out-played, out bluffed, losing to a superior hand, even if it's a tough beat. But damn do I hate absolute idiots with the inability to do simple math and fold their cards, and would rather toss out $100 to chase the 2 cards in the deck that will save them. Seriously, so instead of taking my money and paying off my car insurance and credit card bills right now, I'm sitting here bitching to you guys how much I hate incompetant people who think they can play poker.

I know it seems like every week I'm on here complaining about this again, but seriously, these idiots bet on odds that closely resemble the chances of our local little league team beating the Phillies....and then they freaking win.

lol that sucks for you, maybe the people you are losing to are actually employes of the company, ever think of that? I mean most of the companies are hosted offshore and have no laws requiring them to play fair.

well, i play online all the time at party poker. u cant trust the odds of real cards to come out on a cpu. it seems like the flops are set up to rope people in and get beat on the river. u just have to be sure u have the best hand possible before u go all in. if u see 2 hearts on the flop, 90 percent of the time someone will make a flush to beat your 3 of a kind. also, play the tournaments, they seem to have all real people instead of these idiots(or cpu) that beat u with bad calls. also, try talking to the people while ur on a table. sometimesthey wont respond which makes me believe they are a program playing for a person......

best thing is to go to a casino, its highly addicting! im a poker fiend(watch it on tv while playing online!)

Very true. They run on alogrithms (sp?) and I have a strong feeling that they are not random card generators either. However, playing by the real odds is really the best I can do. And I think it's stupid for people to chase or make poor calls, simply because they have a 'feeling'

I play tournaments, freerolls, sit and gos, cash games, play money, pretty much everything. And while there are obviously more idiots on play money tables, there are still plenty in real money tournaments and sit and gos, and unfortunantly often they even advance, so based on my own experience I don't quite agree with that. Also when people don't respond it's generally because of 2 things. A) they have lost chat priveledges, or B) they have blocked the chat themselves because of all the trash talk.

I do agree playing real cards is the best. Unfortunantly, since I moved last year I no longer have a weekly game to go to and casinos are further of a drive, so its few and far between in real life. But yeah, I'm playing any chance I can, I watch it constantly on tv too.


anyway thanks for the responses, I just needed to vent. Now I'll stay away from Partypoker for a few months until they offer me a nice large sum to come back and play for free, and hten the whole cycle will begin again

My best friend plays online poker all the time. He gets real pissed when the dumb asses raise when he knows its a long shot for them and they end up winning. I just laugh at him...lol But then its not my money on the line...

ya, online is ruff, altho ive won many times also. the key is to set your weekly limit to 50.00. then play cash games till u got alot, or down to 20, then play cheap tourneys....
