ps2 looking left, HELP

I use a driving force EX wheel, an original ps2, and GranTurismo4. In the game, it has recently started 'looking left' and then suddenly the d-pad breaks, so i can't even look right, but that won't help anyway. Did the wheel start breaking? because my ps2 has 2 usb ports and one doesn't work at all. So do I need a new ps2? Or is it just the game?? Thanks in advance

Re: ps2 looking left, HELP

Does the wheel work fine in other games or does it do the same thing. If it does the same thing then I'd replace the wheel before replacing the ps2, it sounds to me like it's the wheel giving out.

Know anybody else with a ps2? just take your wheel and game over there and try it out to see if it's the problem.

it was 70 bucks, the model below the DFP. I believe my ps2 is getting old. Maybe I can get it fixed because i heard that the slim one overheats and I like to play for a while.

Re: ps2 looking left, HELP

It's the DAMN WHEEL. I used one of my friends ps2s and the wheel acted the same way. EMMER EFFER. so now I'm deciding on a new wheel. I never thought this thing would break but I guess it did.

I now call my wheel the driting wheel because you're simulating completely sideways haha.

good luck, it's a mass produced very popular wheel, and it still works anyway. Just shakes uncontrollably sometimes. I got over it for now.
