Question Rattle noise in 4.3L V6 VIN W

Has anyone experienced an engine "rattle" in s-10 p/u that may occur in 2000-2500RPM range, under a moderate to heavy load, with a warmed-up engine?? Rattle would get louder w/ accelration. I thought it my be the lifters & replaced them. Not the problem. Push rods are ok as well. Pretty sure sound is coming from upper end of the motor. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Mark
