Starting/Running problems!
Hey everybody, I have a problem with my 89 240 hatch. Sometimes it wont start, battery is working fine, I have electric to everything, and I can hear the starter clicking, but it wont start. After trying for a few minutes it usually starts. At first I thought it was ignition and maybe a wiring problem, but once in a while it will run really roughly and usually die (tach jumping all over & sputtering). When I bought the car it did that right away so I checked all the wires/hoses and found the co2 censor was hanging down and touching the exhaust, so I figured that messed up the censorship and timing. Now when it runs crappy I just push on the wires up by the firewall, on top of the engine (theres about 2 or 3 of them there) and it runs fine, they must be loose or something, but wtf? I'm not sure what those are for and I was just wondering if the two problems are related and if anyone has any info for me. Sry about the length
Thanks

Re: Starting/Running problems!
you mean the oxygen sensor? you might as replace that if you haven't yet. i had a similar problems with the occasional starts/no-starts. Turns out a clutch relay switch (a small blue switch box next to the battery inside the right fender) was blown, so i replaced that and it was fine.
