Learning to fly is expensive, but can lead to a good career, as a military or commercial pilot.
It takes many lessons to build up sufficient flying time and training to qualify for solo. Then you can train some more for instrument flying, multi - engine etc. You would be looking at tens of tousands of dollars for this. Around here (Canada) the best way to learn to fly if you are young is to join the Air Cadets. http://www.cadets.ca/aircad/intro_e.asp If you are a bit older, look at joining the air force. They will pay you to teach you to fly. Of course you must sign up with them for a certain length of time, and you might get shot at which can be a downer ![]() In the civilian world, try starting with glider lessons. They can teach you the basics of flying for less. Also, if you do belong to a glider club, get your light aircraft solo qualification, then you can fly for FREE by operating their tow plane, launching gliders. It's a great way to build up your flying time, especially take-offs and landings. sign |
