what to do with a 91 camaro

So I just got a 91 lt1 camaro. With is my fist time working with this kind of motor and this car. I want to build a load V8 street monster. What do these cars like. What do they not like? How do u create the good hp numbers with an lt1? Any suggestions would be very helpful. thanks.

You're sure it's an LT1 and not an L98? Being 1991 it should be TPI. The LT1 didn't exist for another year in the Corvette, two years for the Camaro.

Re: what to do with a 91 camaro

Start with a plastic/polymer intake manifold. The metal ones tend to get hot pretty fast and will slow you down as much as half a second at the 1/4. Also go to http://fbodymotorsports.com and click on 82-92 on the side. They should have just about anything you need.

Intake, exhaust to get the motor breathing.

Get it running cooler (stat, fan switch, TB bypass)

Trans kit (automatic)

And rear gear for starters.

Ps- welcome to AF Can we stick to the stantard font tho,? It gets distracting.
