The Javelin is an original promo that I bought many years ago from a friend to restore. It was badly sun damaged and needed a repaint and all the chrome redone. I decided to detail it out like a model, as it's value was already compromised severely. I had to use plastic sheet for the glass since the promo glass was opaque yellow from sun damage.

Those are some really, really cool cars that don't get a lot of attention. Way to bring them to light! AMC made some seriously cool cars. It's too bad they don't anymore, and too bad no one makes kits of what they did make. It's always a treat to see your perfectly clean builds on some of these more obscure cars, giving them the attention they deserve.

Thanks! It's Testors auto lacquer Big Bad Blue, an original AMC color used in '69/'70. I was lucky they had it, I had already decided on the color before I realized I could get it so easily.

Re: Big Bad Blue '70 AMX

Looks brilliant, I've never seen a model of this before, the stance looks about right to me from the pictures that I have seen but I'm no expert being from the UK!

What was the one in the James Bond film 'The Man With the Golden Gun' I seem to remember it was an AMC Hornet (1974?) that he drove straight out of the showroom and then did a barrel roll over the river!
