Question 01 Monte SS Radio Compatibility w/ 2003?

Anyone know if the radio in a 2003 Monte will be compatible with an 2001?

My radio is shot will take 2-3 months for repair shop to get GM parts so I'm looking into a Boneyard.

If anyone knows for sure it would be appreciated.

Thanx!

THe GM computer shows the same part numbers for similar radios for 02-05, and different part numbers for 00-01. It looks like the 02-ups use the double-din size radio, and the 01-back use the 1.5 din size.

Maybe look into an aftermarket radio? Im pretty sure it'll be cheaper than going through with the dealership.

Thanks for the Info Rich & Rally. I'm purchasing a 01 from cherry-auto.com; some may want to check out their site, Lots of Stuff & been in business for 60+ years.
