rear tailight covers

I was poking around on ebay and saw that the back red part on the tail light covers were removed on this grand prix, how is that done? heres the pic i saw it from. would the red bulbs fit into the existing bulb socket or does the socket have to be replaced too?

Re: rear tailight covers

Those are most likely those "Altezza" style aftermarket taillights. If they are factory tails with the red lens removed, maybe they took the lens off and removed the red liner. Be careful, that style taillamp is illegal in many states due to not having enough square inches of red reflector lens.

Re: rear tailight covers

hey i use to won a 95 grand am GT and if you opened the llight up you could actualy remove the red lens in there. the only thing about that is that you need to replace the bulbs with red ones or youll piss people off and possibbly get pulled over. another thing id agree with the reflector part as seeing cops radars do go off reflectors on out cars.

Those aren't the altezza-style lenses, I have those on my car. They look nothing like the factory lenses.

actualy they look just like the stock GTP taill lights. if you remove the red cap(which i dont know how) thats what you will have remaining. i tried to get the red lens out and just broke the taili light. but they are NOT aftermarket i promise you that

Re: rear tailight covers
