Question clunking sound

Hello everyone.I am new to this forum.I was surfing and found it helpful. My wife and I just bought a 99 lincoln continental and when we drive the car we notice a slight clunking from the front end.It does it when we hit bumps. Its not a loud clunking and it doesnt do it on every bump.I know alittle about cars and it sound like it might be a bushing.Any insight will be apprisiated.Thank you.

Welcome cougar214 !!

Yeah, it might be a bushing.. 'course you know that. It might also be a number of other suspension related parts. Close inspection of each suspected part is the only way to be sure which one is making the noises.

You might get lucky isolating the noise by having a buddy bounce the car back, forth, up, down, side to side, etc while you have your nose close to the suspension...

On the downside, or maybe you'll call it the upside, closer inspection might reveal lots of other things that need repair....
