TB Spacers worthwhile?
TB Spacers worth it? what is it? a 1/2" or so plate between the TB and intake manifold?

Think about it, what's a 1/2" space between the TB and manifold gonna give you? |

That's what I was thinking, I know some ppl that think the world of stuff like TB Spacers, Underdrive pulleys etc...Didn't seem like something that'd do anything for ya. thanks.

For a carb..yes, they work as long as it is a phenolic spacer. The phenolic, being non metallic doesn't let the heat of the manifold transferr to the carb body causing it to heat the fuel in it. The benifits would only be seen on a very high performance engine.
A spacer for an EFI TB only does 2 things...makes you poorer and the seller richer. |

it was worth it on my application. I don't know it it helped performance-wise, but it gave me the space needed to install the new steel braided fuel lines.
