PSVRA Camaro finished
This is my first WIP post in several months. I am pretty excited about this build. It's for the Plastic Scale Vintage Racers Asc. contest. If youv'e never heard of the PSVRA it is a web site that is built around the concept of vintage car bodies on modern NASCAR style chassis'. The rules are simply that you must use a vintage body and that the photos look real. Well, there are a few more rules, but thats the jist. You can check them out here. http://www.lookoutmodel.com/psvra.html
Now the build. This started out as AMT's 1970 Camaro. I added fender bubbles to the front fenders for tire clearance, drooped the nose a few degrees, chopped the top, added rear fender flares, scratched an outlaw hood , and added a rear spoiler. ![]() ![]() ![]() I painted it with Tamiya black laquer, added some flames. ![]() The chassis is from AMT's Super Stocker. The engine is from my parts box with a Vertex magneto from Scale models by Chris, the pulleys and drysump oil pump are machined aluminum, the headers are solder, and I made the aircleaner myself. The tires and rims are resin from Freds resin Workshop. ![]() The dash is from Model Car Garage, the steering wheels is Detail Master. ![]() ![]() The car needs numbered and lettered, and a few more details but its almost done. ![]() ![]() stay tuned for more!!! Re: PSVRA Camaro WIP
GReat work, its looks so evil, like it would just destroy anthing that got in its way, something out of MAD MAX!. I like the black with the flames I did that on my 67 chevelle. GReat body work as well. It has to be perfect when you use black, and you pulled it off. Keep up the great work, I cant wait for your next build
