2000 Quest interior lights help?

When I get out of my Quest 2000 van and close the doors, all the "rear and lower" lights in front go dim and then go out, this is the norm since new.

BUt now the "two overhead reading lights, at rear-view mirror" interior lights stay on for half-hour before turning off, they use to turn off in just a few seconds just like the rest.

I know I must have done something............ but for the life in me I can't figure out what!!

Re: 2000 Quest interior lights help?

I was wondering how you made out with your lights. I have an older Quest with a similar problem only my lights don't shut off unless I pull the fuse. I think the newer Quest has a BATTERY SAVER in it. I've gotten help at www.allexperts.com. Choose autos, auto repair, nissan... The mechanic only takes 5 questions a day so you may have to stay up late or get up early to get the question in. He told me that I may have a bad door switch. I changed them all and haven't solved the problem. Now he's helping me checkout the TIME CONTROL MODULE that controls all the interior lights.
Let me know what you find out. Good luck!!

It's embarrassing but the trunk lid wasn't shut properly.
