wont start

My brother has a 89 cavalier , he started it up one night and backed up about 2 feet, it shut-off for no reason, he went to start, and there is now now power to anything, interiro lights wont come on nuthing, and his car will not even turn over , there is no attempt of it trying to start, when he turns the key there is no sound or anything coming from engine bay. We threw in a new batterry and still same thing happens. if anyone has help please respond immediatly!!!

Re: wont start

check your battery positive cable. it might have fractured internally or it rubbed against a ground. also check your ground cable and make sure it is also not fractured internally or loose at the engine mount.
