"ChevelleCamino" Ramp Truck

Been tinkering on and of with this for several months. My entry in a common kit contest using the '66 Chevelle Wagon this Labor Day weekend. This gave it's roof to my '69 Magnum Concept... - Mark

Awesome, love that engine bay, and the subtle weathering all around. Love the colors too. It'd be nice if the rear suspension was squashed down when you put a car on top.. heh..

Superbly creative take on the camino! Not only creativity, but also, what an amazing execution, the details are spot on, the weathering, the details, the blackwash ,the paint .... Superb! You haven't stolen your name

Nice doggy too!

Re: "ChevelleCamino" Ramp Truck

Thanks, it is "squashed", I put air shocks (just non working model parts) on it and there is some travel from the rear chassis within the body.

And remember, this is actually a Chevelle Station Wagon (4 door), not an El Camino.
After building this one I really want to build the kit the way it is supposed to be... - Mark

Now this is cool. Excellent workmanship. The weathering and all the little details like the wiring on the winch make this a winner. My favourate added touch is the dog, the perfect icing on this cake.

Ah, cool.. I guess it's hard to tell the suspension is "squashed" from the pic angles, but I can kind of see it now that you mention it, not that it would matter even if it weren't since it looks good anyway. Also.. WHOA! I didn't realize this was built from the 4 door wagon. Even more awesome!

Great work. Your scratch building is amazing. I like the weathering, the engine looks great. I really like that chevelle wagon, I have the kit as well and am going to do something unexpected with it!
