Pontaic Grand Am Delco Stero Display Problem
Ok..here's how it goes...When I start my car/Pontiac 2000 Grand Am, the display on my Delco Fatcory Stereo looks funky..whether it's attempting to show the time or radio station frequency...it almost looks like some kinda weird klingon language...
example 12:00 looks like 1-(]...almost as if the digital display goes outta whack.. then after about 5 to 10 minutes everything returns to normal! thoughts? Fuse issue maybee? thanks for ANY HELP. |

Re: Pontaic Grand Am Delco Stero Display Problem
Welcome to AF logan51270.
These Delco's do seem to hav a mind of thier own, but they almost all do it(klingon display) maybe the 04+ dont , and its not limited to Grand ams either.

Re: Pontaic Grand Am Delco Stero Display Problem
Its caused by heat, and or bad solder joints .
My delcos do the same thing when its really hot or the heaters on.

Re: Pontaic Grand Am Delco Stero Display Problem
I live in TX, I always have it on my radio... kinda just gave up on knowing what time it is lol... its generally when its hot... works great in the winter, never have a problem then.
as for knowing what station... just kinda find w/e sounds good lol
