ecu problems

will a pg7 ecu run a sohc zc motor im so confused got the mpfi all wired checked and rechecked but will not turn over i hear this ecu is for a dohc so i wouldnt think it would run it but i would like to know for sure ya know

It should work. May run a little rich though. Are you sure you didn't missmatch the two white wires going to the distributor?

The PG7 has no idea that the engine it came from had DOHC, or that the one it's trying to run is SOHC... they don't care what the engine setup is, they only take info from sensors, and relay a signal to output actuators.

You can literally run an ECU from a chevy in a honda, if you can sit long enough to figure out where each wire goes.

Mebbe i'm just stupid here, but isn't the PG7 an OBD1 ECU?

when i got the ecu i was told it was out of an 88 integra and it would work in the 90 civic for the mpfi swap

just did a lil bit of research and from what i can find it is a dohc zc obd-0 ecu
