Post 1988 Celica GT-S Engine Question

I was wondering what would be the easier rout to go with...

The celica i bought for $25 is in alright shape and it needs an engine. I can either Rebuild it or just buy another Gts engine and drop it in there.. The thing is every Gts Engin i find is $700+ Dollars and i honestly dont have that kinda money to be spending on a project like this at the moment. And, since the Gts Engin is prob the best option considering it has the most power for that year and also would mk the car orginal i dont know what else i could do.

I will post some pictures of my car as soon as i figure out how to do it..

If anyone has any ideas please feel free to give me some knoledge.
