Finally someone that gets it. I have talked to a few people and they were like what are you going to do next to make it faster and I was like its done after this besides repairs and everyone is always like why? . I think a 9 second car is unsafe on the street not to mention the constant temptation . I would completely have my jolly's on for a 10 second street/strip car.

Re: Next time at the track...

I have always told myself I wanted a serious street car.
But it has to perform at the track as well.

I think I have it.
On motor alone....this car is good for much more than 12's at sea level.
But will happily drive next to anything on the street.

I am close to my goals with this car.
I would like to be right at the bar limit here at Bandimere. Going to need one of three things....
1. A serious diet.
2. A 75 shot.
3. A ProCharger running 4-5 PSI.

Obviously I will need a new driveshaft.

Re: Next time at the track...

I've actually just heard some bad things about procharger. Because they have the self-lubricating system, the charger doesn't get fresh oil, so it gets really hot and basically blows up.

A friend was thinking about getting one for his 06 GT and talked to a guy at the dyno shop about it and said he's heard nothing but problems with those. He says Vortech is the way to go, even though they don't advertise as much output.

Vortech's design is complete crap on the LS1 cars. No way am I cutting my hood to fit a supercharger.
Plus, the ATI blower has better numbers.

Vortechs work well on Mustangs, but not so well on the LS1 cars. Different cars like different parts.

The blower thing is probably out of the question. I would need close to $8K to do that.
