Help please with my Chevy

Ok you guys seem what you are talking about. Well im trying to do a whole front suspension job on my 1994 Cavelie (the "r" fell out a long time ago). The problem is i can't get the caliper bolts out. Any suggestion as to how to remove these stubborn guys. (Afraid of breaking them as this is my only mode of transportation). I replaced the pads before but i think the guy that was teaching me how to do it over did it with the tightening. Thanks in advance.

Re: Help please with my Chevy

firs make sure you are trying to turn it the correct way. i believe the bolt is on the other side so turn it to the right to loosen it.
second, take your hand and make it into a fist. then holding the rachet in one hand, take your fist and pound it into the rachet handle. dont be afraid it will come loose.

Re: Help please with my Chevy

What about spraying them with a little wd-40 or something??? Just be careful that you dont spray the pads or the rotor. If you do then wipe it all off very well.

Re: Help please with my Chevy

If you can get the car high enough off the ground, and dont feel like breaking your hand by hitting, put a pipe on the end of your ratchet, or a 3 ft breaker bar. you might have to come from undereath if doing this on a cavalier can work, ive never done it before on them.
