HELP! Need switches...

I am going to redo the interior of my Maro, going to use Aluminum and Naugahyde.

I would like to get some switches for the headlights and wipers, as well as a heater control, that are not somethign you would see in a production car.

Anyone know of any companies that sell custom (for lack of a better word) switches?

WELLLL...

Since I can find NOTHING on billet switches, etc, I was thinking the same thing.

There's a company called Watsons (http://www.watsons-streetworks.com/switches.html - about 1/4 of the way down, above the rocker switches section, check out the custom panel). They have billet switches that would work, but I'm not sure how I would get it to work for a heater. The actual switches are at the bottom of the page. Thinking about using one for the lights, and maybe one for the wipers, not sure if it'll work for the heater, or if I should try to make a custom face for the heater out of brushed aluminum... that's probably what I'll do, because I have no idea how you would get the switches to work for the heat / temperature control... unless you have some suggestions???

EDIT: Actually, I have found billet switches, but they all seem to be for headlight / light controls. Nothing for wiper switches or heater controls for a heater only. They have the fancy ones for the custom air / heat, but not just to replace the stock unit. NICHE MARKET AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE INTERESTED.

Re: HELP! Need switches...

Well, the wiper switch I think would work with the push buttons - off, low, high & squirt. The heat though... I don't think there's anyway to get around having the sliders for the temp control.

I might go home and see if I chop up the one I have if I can make it work with a new face, maybe some new levers.

Re: HELP! Need switches...

Why the fan switch I sued has 3 speeds, low med and high, so you have to pur a regular single throw toggle for power, then control the function, say low = low spd wipe, med = high spd wire, and high = wash?

Re: HELP! Need switches...

I think I'm following you. BUT with the push button switches the wipers could be working and you could squirt at the same time. With your set-up, the wipers stop when you use the squirt?

Are you suggesting that, or questioning what I said??? I'm confused.
