universal bosch oxygen sensor

Hello i just bought a universal oxygen sensor from bosch to replace my 1st oxygen sensor. when i got home i realized that the bosch had only 3 wires and the stock one has 4 wires. green yellow, and two black ones. The universal one has one black and two white ones. is this good? checkers said it was okay. here are the pics

Re: universal bosch oxygen sensor

checkers said it was ok? and.....? did they tell you how to install, what wire to splice? how much was the O2 sensor? i'll check on a price for an OEM sensor.

a local guy near me recently had problems running lean (you have RICH problems) and couldn't pass emissions. when he was replacing his O2 sensor, he ran across some fitment issues that i believe you will have. here's a link to the post http://www.3si.org/forum/showpost.ph...5&postcount=30 NOTE: NTK is just a brand like Bosch or Denso.

read the link i posted, a friend had a similar problem. i think basically Checkers has the wrong part number. let them know you need the one with 4 wires.

question, which O2 sensor are you replacing? front or rear bank?

Re: universal bosch oxygen sensor

Dealer one is OEM. Plugs right in, bolts right in.

Re: universal bosch oxygen sensor

70$, not bad for a dealer price. its just that they charge so much on OE parts but this o2 is a good deal
