new '06 civic owner
I just ordered an '06 civic lx...I should be receiving in sometime in september. I was wondering how they are power wise. Do they got some power behind them. Also, what kind of mods have been made for these so far...exterior, interior, motor, suspension...everything.

Re: new '06 civic owner
You name it they got it for 8th gen. Dont worry so much about performance as you should about looks. You have a very sexy car which has great potential exterior interior wise. Working on that engine will only lead to you wishing you had bought an SI. TRUST ME I have owned a 7th gen EX and got so fustrated trying to make it fast that I eventually went out and bought a fast car so I could compete on the track. Good Luck!!

Re: new '06 civic owner
The `06 LX makes 140 HP, which is a huge improvement over the 7th gen 115-ish HP. Now, it won't have racecar like acelleration, but with such a light chassis, 140 HP will get that thing up to speed pretty damn quick (for a stock Civic at least).

With how much torque 128 pounds? The 8th gen has increased 5% in weight as well. This car is far from being "quick". Once again it comes down to price and what your looking for. A car enthusiest eager to speed around and race should not purchase a trim level below an SI. EX, LX etc. are not made for speed this has always been Hondas way. |
